Flagship events and programs are designed with the specific task of celebrating 300 years of Natchez’s culture and heritage.

The Natchez History Minute.

The Natchez National Park Service will present 366 days of Natchez history as told by 366 different members of the community and shared through an integrated media plan.

Natchez Legends & Lore.

Every Monday evening, except holidays, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy presentations uncovering 300 years of fascinating Natchez stories and characters. There’s no charge – bring your own brown bag meal or purchase one at the host venue.

My Natchez.

An educational and creative opportunity for children to identify with their roots, their heritage, their culture, and their home through the arts, including video.

Raise the Roots: Discovering Origin Stories through Genealogy.

In partnership with Historic Natchez Foundation and Department of Archives and History, the genealogy conference will allow attendees to explore their genealogy.

Alcorn State University Health Fair & 5K.

In partnership with the Natchez National Historical Park and potential sponsors, the Clinton Foundation’s Health Matters, Humana, and Coca-Cola, this major event will focus on the health and well-being of Natchez and Adams County.

Birthday Party.

On August 3rd, our 300th birthday celebration will include the Natchez National Historical Park’s commemoration of the Fort Rosalie, presentations on the Natchez Indians and Colonial Louisiana, and a birthday party on the bluff with food, live music, children’s activities, art vendors, free cupcakes and ice cream, fireworks, and more!

Tricentennial Heritage Holiday Parade.

The yearlong anniversary will culminate December 3rd with a unique, multicultural holiday parade and celebration revolving around the diverse cultures and ethnic groups that came together to create our historically rich city. This will be one of the highlights of the year!

Celebrate Sunsets on the Bluff.

Weather permitting, residents and visitors are invited to the Natchez Bluff before sundown to enjoy the most spectacular sunsets on the Mighty Mississippi with artists, musicians, and entertainers invited to add to the festivities.
